Description:

The Department of Public Health Sciences in conjunction with Languages invites applications for a non-tenure track Lecturer position beginning 15 June 2021. We seek applicants with experience teaching health courses with a preferred focus on Global Health.  The successful applicant will serve as a liaison with the Language & International Health program, a health humanities B.S. degree jointly administered with the Department of Languages. Teaching responsibilities will include Global Health, an Internship Abroad Preparation Seminar, and an Internship Abroad class, co-taught with Languages faculty. This includes coordinating internships and service-learning abroad for the Language and International Health program and contributing to academic program development and assessment.   

Lecturers are eligible for promotion to the rank of Senior Lecturer following a period of service.

Qualifications:

Required: Applicants must have a master’s degree in Public Health or closely related field. International travel may be required post Covid-19 restrictions.

Preferred: Teaching or research experience in global health, medical health humanities and experience or strong interest in education and service learning abroad; proficiency in Chinese, French, or Spanish is desirable .
