Job description

Statistics: Assistant Teaching Professor or Assistant Lecturer to teach undergraduate courses in statistics; provide academic advising; contribute to professional and institutional service. Based on performance, this position is eligible for subsequent reappointment with the possibility of promotion that includes longer-term, continuing contracts. Position begins August 2021.

Required: M.S. or M.A. for appointment as Assistant Lecturer or Ph.D. for appointment as Assistant Teaching Professor in Statistics, or Biostatistics, or closely related area by appointment date. This position is available to persons who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time and indefinite basis. (Persons authorized to work on such a basis include US citizens, lawful permanent residents (“green card” holders), asylees, refugees, and temporary residents under IRCA.)

Consideration may be given to candidates who have experience in teaching within online and/or hybrid modalities; teaching in a SCALE-UP format; prior teaching experience at the college level; teaching with R and/or Python.
