East Tennessee Clean Fuels, a 501c3 non-profit organization housed under the University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Institute for a Secure and Sustainable Environment is accepting applications for a Fiscal/Membership Coordinator position.

About our Organization
East Tennessee Clean Fuels’ (ETCleanFuels) mission is to increase the use of cleaner American fuels and vehicles and energy-saving transportation technologies to improve air quality and health, curb dependence on imported petroleum and support Tennessee’s economy. ETCleanFuels works with vehicle fleets, individual owners, and fuel providers to create partnerships to facilitate the implementation of alternative fuels throughout Tennessee. ETCleanFuels works closely with Middle-West Tennessee Clean Fuels, creating a statewide hub for all things related to alternative fuels.

ETCleanFuels is seeking a coordinator for our overall non-profit fiscal management and our statewide Membership program. ETCleanFuels works on numerous projects across Tennessee, including projects funded by the US Department of Energy and other federal entities. Our organization also supports itself through annual membership dues from local, state, and national organizations. We are seeking a passionate, self-organized Coordinator who is comfortable with in-person, phone, and digital communications, as well as with the fiscal management of grants and non-profit activities.

Required Education and Experience:
    •    Associate's Degree in relevant field plus 4-years experience in communication, non-profit, or higher education
    •    Bachelor's Degree in relevant field, or equivalent of 8-years experience in communications, non-profit, or higher education

Qualifications, Preferred:
    •    Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field with 5 or more years experience
    •    Master’s Degree with 1-2 years of related work experience
    •    Experience with fundraising and/or nonprofit/small business management
    •    Experience managing finances and budget
    •    Experience managing employees in a supportive but fast-paced work environment
    •    Experience creating marketing materials, such as newsletters, fundraising emails, sell sheets, and brochures

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    •    Experience with non-profit fiscal management and administration
    •    Experience with non-profit or other fundraising
    •    Experience with records-keeping and physical file management
    •    Strong oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
    •    Strong networking and relationship-building skills, including the ability to make cold calls
    •    Comfort with CMS systems such as Hubspot
    •    Comfort with Microsoft Office suite software, especially Excel, but also PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    •    Familiarity with Wordpress content management system
    •    Familiarity with electric vehicles and related technologies
    •    Knowledge of data management softwares and strategies
    •    Familiarity with Adobe suite including: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dream Weaver, and Acrobat Pro
