Position Title:Custodial/Housekeeping Associate - Ancilla College of Marian University (Donaldson, IN)
Job Description:Ancilla College of Marian University seeks a Custodial/Housekeeping Associate in the Department of Campus Operations. Working closely with the Manager of Campus Operations, the custodial/housekeeping associate promotes Ancilla College of Marian University’s Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by performing cleaning duties in the facility buildings to keep areas in clean and orderly condition. Cleaning duties are completed by following established schedules and cleaning frequencies; and by using prescribed work techniques, procedures, equipment and materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Actively engages the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of Marian University by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values, honoring the legacy of the founding congregation, promoting unity in diversity, and integrating the Catholic Franciscan intellectual traditions in courses, programs, and services.Clean assigned spacesDust and wet mop all non-carpeted floors and stairwells.Vacuum carpets daily and upholstered furniture periodically.Clean restrooms, floors, fixtures, chrome, glass, walls, restock paper and soap supplies, and empty trash receptacles.Properly remove and dispose of all trash.Spot clean walls, wash walls as assigned.Wash, damp wipe, or spot clean desks, furniture, window ledges, lockers, and shelving as needed, or assigned.Equipment use in restrooms and other hard surface floors as needed.High dust above shoulder height, also dust vent covers.Clean whiteboards and erasers.Clean internal glass, entrance doors and internal doors.Clean fixtures in labs and other areas.Clean and polish chrome.Cleans washers and dryers as assignedWe can remove clean “chalkboards” none leftHelps with setups and teardownsPerform stripping and waxing of applicable floorsPerform carpet cleaning with extractorsMake recommendations on supplies and make sure stock is maintainedClean elevators and elevator tracks.Report needed repairs to building and equipment to supervisor.Snow removalAttend all department training sessions.Employee MUST follow all University and departmental rules, regulations/policies and procedures.Employee must perform all duties and responsibilities in a safe mannerOther duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Qualifications:
Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of Ancilla College of Marian UniversityWalking, pulling, bending, lifting, pushing , stooping, ability to lift minimum of 25 pounds, but not more than 50 pounds, climbing stairs and ladders up to 6ft in height.Ability to work closely with others in a team environment yet also highly motivated with an ability to work independently.After hours support as requested.Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
