Position Summary:

Manage operations for the Facilities Services Department stockroom and receiving business needs. Includes purchasing, procurement and inventory of approximately 5,000 items in support of skilled trades work group.

Supervises the operations of the stockroom/receiving department and maintains computerized inventory system.

Procures approximately 5,000 parts from approximately 150 vendors.
Maintains proactive communication with Trades Supervisors for routine parts procurement and inventory.
Maintains on-line and electronic files and systems for parts procurement and inventory.
Updates, orders and processes invoices for inventory items.
Provides customer service, including but not limited to packaging, labeling and issuing of stock.
Lifts and unloads freight. Receives, tags and coordinates distribution.

General Responsibilities:

Performs gasoline and diesel fuel ordering and inventory management for Service Building area fuel dispensing.
Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from Supervisor.
Performs all duties in a safe and processional manner and in accordance with established departmental practices and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned to assist department in obtaining its mission.

*Creates and submits weekly computer query reports for the reorder of stock inventory.
*Enters data on received purchase orders and reports shortages, back orders and damages to ensure proper invoicing.
*Enters data on all dispensed inventory against work orders and makes adjustments to update ledger.
*Provides customer service, including but not limited to, packaging, labeling, and issuing stock.
*Initiates, coordinates and organizes for the year-end inventory and submits appropriate reports .
*Performs gasoline and diesel fuel ordering, maintains accurate records of quantities dispensed to College vehicles and submits monthly reports to purchasing for journal entry distribution.
*Lifts and unloads freight, receives, tags and coordinates distribution.
*Assists in updating, ordering and processing invoices for inventory items, including sending requests for quotations to vendors.
*Creates and submits monthly reports on disbursements of stock inventory to specific accounts as requested by Facilities Services supervisors.

*Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors.
*Performs all duties in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with established departmental practices and procedures.

Performs other duties as assigned to assist department in obtaining its mission.

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Knowledge of stockroom/inventory/computerized inventory operations required. Medium level computer skills required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Detail oriented.
Must be able to perform light to moderate lifting, including bending, twisting, crouching, and overhead reaching.
Must be neat/clean in appearance/attire, friendly, courteous.
Ability to communicate well with others and present oneself in a professional manner.
Requires moderate periods of time standing, as well as walking and stair climbing.
May require some overtime and flexible schedule.

Experience:

3-5 years of previous related experience in central stores/stockroom, inventory, shipping/receiving operations and supervision required.
