The College of Agriculture, Food, and Environment in collaboration with the College of Nursing is seeking an Agriculture Extension Specialist Principle, who will support rural health and safety related programming. This position is one of a team of Extension Specialists who support county educators in improving the quality of individual and family life through education, research and outreach. The primary functions of this position are to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate research-based rural health and safety programs. Developing networks and coalitions; providing leadership to county Extension agents; collaborating with various professionals and organizations; providing reports on the programs; and identifying and applying for extramural funding are also vital roles of this position. The position will reside within Family and Consumer Sciences Extension, with programming responsibilities also in Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering. This position will work very closely with the College of Nursing. This position is dependent on funding renewed annually.Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively as a team member and/or leader with faculty, staff, volunteers, and clientele. Success in procuring grants, experience in Cooperative Extension Service or other applied professional settings, visionary thinking, and creativity.
