The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant B to provide exceptional secretarial, administrative, and other programmatic support to the Department Chair and Chief Operating Officer. The administrative assistant will handle a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, including calendar management and meeting scheduling, in order to ensure that all interactions between the department leadership and others are positive and productive. Additionally, the assistant will play a role in processing expenses and reimbursements, coordinating travel arrangements, and preparing external communications. Qualified candidates will be able to demonstrate attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and flexibility to learn and adapt.
H.S. Diploma or GED required, with 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required. Candidates must possess the ability to handle complex and confidential materials in a professional manner. Familiarity with academic medicine or health care is a plus.
