Educational and Experience Requirement:

High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent with a minimum of four years relevant clerical experience is required. Financial aid or other university-related work experience would be helpful. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Nature & Purpose of Position:

Coordinates the Federal and State Work Study program.

Primary Responsibilities:

Reviews financial aid folders for completeness and accuracy. Reviews academic transcripts for student academic progress compliance. Reviews award letters for student acceptance/declination of aid award. Coordinates the Federal and State Work Study program. Awards Work Study Funds to students. Provides training to departments on College Work Study policies, procedures, and regulations. Coordinates with the Center for Community Engagement for off site student employment. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Other Specifications:

May require the ability to type and use 10-key calculator by touch. Computer skills may be required specifically with Microsoft Excel. Ability to work front counter and answer telephones for extended periods.
