The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Rheumatology has an opening for a full-time Assistant Professor position. 

Nature of Work:

  • This candidate will provide support for Pediatric Rheumatology through clinical, academic and research related activities. These services will be performed at Children's Hospital Colorado's Anschutz and North campus locations. The candidate will also participate in the teaching of fellows and residents assigned to her/his clinic and service rotations.

Position Emphasis:

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Share in all of the clinical, teaching and scholarly activities of the Section on Rheumatology, Department of Pediatrics.
  • Staff clinic sessions at Children's Hospital Colorado and outreach program sites as assigned.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will be responsible for travel expenses related to the interview process and any relocation expenses, if applicable.

Salary and Benefits:

The hiring rate (or budgeted rate) for this position has been established at $150,000.

The above salary rate represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate at the time of posting.

This position is not eligible for overtime compensation

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic
  • Completed ACGME approved Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship Training
  • Board Certified or Eligible for certification in Pediatric Rheumatology
Conditions of Employment:

  • Must successfully pass a drug test through Children’s Hospital Colorado
  • Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check
Preferred Qualfications:

  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary, academic health care setting
  • Ability to function independently in both outpatient clinic and inpatient consult settings
  • Interest in teaching and mentoring trainees
Competencies:

  • Skill in performance of physical examinations relevant to rheumatologic care
  • Comprehensive knowledge of rheumatologic conditions and medications appropriate for care of such patients
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and consulting services
  • Ability to educate others
