This is a 1.0 full time position based at the Anschutz Medical Campus. Duties include clinical care and limited teaching responsibilities.

Specific responsibilities are:

    Develop a unique leadership role in the divisional and university laboratory and clinical research programs focused on patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). With regard to clinical care activities, to spend ½ day per week in a rheumatology clinic at University of Colorado Hospital, with an emphasis on seeing patients with SLE, utilizing divisional staffing templates and following divisional referral and consultation policies; in addition, as needed you will be responsible for two weeks of inpatient rheumatology consulting. Utilizing advanced techniques of data sciences coupled with wet bench and clinical research, to conduct research designed to understand the genetic, genomic and immune mechanisms that underlie the development of SLE in humans and relevant animal models.
Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position has been established at $120,000- $130,000.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: 

    MD or MD/PhD degreeBoard certification in Internal Medicine and RheumatologyResearch background and history of external funded research projects in the rheumatology and immunology specialties.
Preferred Qualifications

    Clinical background seeing patients with SLE.
