Training Specialist - Fs Communications & Info Services

Regular Full-time, Pay Range MR06

The Training Specialist coordinates and offers on-the-job training and orientation meetings for employees to help them improve, maintain or learn new skills. Responsible for planning continuing education and personal development sessions for employees by collaborating with managers and supervisors on which topics employees need more training on.
The Training Specialist:
    •    Creates and develops training curriculum and training materials based on proven adult learning techniques
    •    Creates and develops training scenarios to insure that training mimics actual conditions used by employees on a daily basis
    •    Works extensively with business partners and SME’s to perform needs analysis, develop learning objectives and course design deliverables that meet learner and organizational needs.
    •    Teaches instructional programs.
    •    Maintains and updates system training records    
    •    Performs other duties as assigned by manager



Qualifications
Minimum Required Qualifications:

    •    Associate’s Degree in related field
    •    Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree
    •    Two years of training/instructional experience or specialized education/instructional training
    •    Demonstrated classroom management skills
    •    Basic understanding of Occupational Safety processes
    •    Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
    •    Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment
    •    Ability to successfully execute many tasks simultaneously
    •    Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently
    •    Facilitation, presentation, and coaching experience
    •    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
    •    Experience in multi-media development applications, such as Camtasia

Valid Tennessee Driver’s License is required.
