Job Summary: The Marketing Coordinator II works within the Division of Strategic Communications to develop a clear understanding of plans, goals, and ongoing efforts for communications related to various clients. This classification contributes vital research, analysis, and content for the development and implementation of marketing plans and activities to support the goals of the University, clients, and the Division of Strategic Communications.
Additional Department Summary: The Marketing Coordinator, Content Marketing works within Strategic Communications to develop a clear understanding of plans, goals and ongoing efforts for communications related to various clients. The position requires highly developed copywriting skills with experience writing for print, broadcast and digital formats. This position collaborates with other members of Strategic Communications to identify, develop and execute the most impactful campus stories including faculty accomplishments, academic content and student accomplishments. Candidates must demonstrate experience effectively managing projects, meeting deadlines and adapting to the existing institutional voice.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of marketing, public relations, communications, or advertising experience.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Candidates also must demonstrate strong competence in Marketing disciplines such as writing, editing and research, by presenting a strong portfolio of publication and/or writing samples.
Skills and Knowledge: Copywriting, editing, proofreading, client communications, marketing campaign deployment
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with inbound marketing campaigns, Google Analytics certified, project management
