Member of a modern technical team responsible for full-stack software development, user experience design, cloud environments, automation, data centers, and storage infrastructures in the Department of Systems Administration and Web Services (SAWS). Develop, administer, and implement innovative solutions for our campus community.Major Responsibilities:
Architect, implement and install cloud-based and on-premise software solutions. Create and support integrations utilizing a variety of developmental methodologies. Highlights include PowerShell, Oracle, Office 365, and API integrations.
Follow the software development life cycle.
Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clean code.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of IT industry best practices, security, and emerging technologies. Study information needs, confer with users, and study systems flow, data usage, and work processes as it relates to SUNY Cortland.

Reports to the Assistant Director of Systems Administration and Web Services (SAWS)Required Qualifications:
2 years of experience working in a software development environment.
2 years of experience developing web-based applications and APIs
2 years of experience in Database Development
Experience working with .Net, PowerShell, MVC, Office 365
Familiarity with source control.
Experience working in higher education or similarly complex organization.
Experience working with web-based Single Sign-On environments utilizing SAML, CAS and OAUTH.
