The History Department at Loyola University Maryland invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Russian and/or Eastern European history. The successful applicant will teach four undergraduate courses per semester (ordinarily two preparations), including a survey of modern European history, an upper-level history of the Soviet Union, and upper-level courses in the applicant's field of specialty. We seek applicants who display a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, including an interest in high-impact practices. The appointment will begin on August 24, 2021. Ph.D. in hand preferred.
