Provides research assistant support for “Peer Coaching for Physical Activity Promotion among Breast Cancer Survivors: Adapting an Efficacious Intervention to Prepare for Implementation” and is responsible for maintaining the overall scientific integrity of the proposed study.
Responsible for completing coach and participant assessments and assisting with preparation of reports and manuscripts.
Assists with preparation of study protocols, intervention and assessment materials. Provides administrative duties and provides back-up for the Project Coordinator II.
Responsible for recruitment of study coaches and participants and conducting telephone screens of potential coaches and study participants. Develops written informed consent forms; responsible for obtaining participant approval; and conducting the PAR interviews.
Compiles, prepares and disseminates questionnaire packets and Actigraph accelerometers to study participants. Responsible for reviewing completed questionnaires; scores, enters data and maintains documentation of data collection; provides follow-up with participants to reduce missing data; and for collecting all data at subsequent assessments. Responsible for tracking all study participants over the study period.Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions):
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4 years related research experience, or high school diploma and 8 years related research experience.
This position requires traveling to off site locations for recruitment and training. Flexibility in work schedule to include evening hours.Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree preferred in psychology, exercise science, counseling, social work, or nursing. Research experience. Background in exercise promotion working with cancer patients.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Experience with recruitment and collection of data from research participants. Proficient computer skills with Micro Soft Office programs. Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing. Strong interpersonal skills sufficient to inspire, lead, and work effectively with diverse groups. Ability to plan, coordinate and implement diverse administrative functions, establish and maintain effective working relationships, and communicate effectively.Safety Sensitive or Security Sensitive:
