Advertised Job Summary:

The Patent Administrative Coordinator for the Technology Commercialization Office (TCO) will coordinate and perform the administrative operations associated with patenting University research. Responsibilities include processing documents, sending documents to attorneys, preparing reports for submission to research sponsors, and monitoring due dates. The Patent Administrative Coordinator will maintain TCO’s metrics numbers, keep files and spreadsheets up-to-date, and prepare annual reports. The Patent Administrative Coordinator will communicate with attorneys and UofSC faculty in a prompt, friendly, and professional manner. The Patent Administrative Coordinator will schedule meetings for TCO and perform other administrative tasks as requested.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions):

Bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; or equivalency.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to work in a team environment, and possess strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
