Faculty Development Fellow

The Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting a Faculty Development Fellow. Located in downtown Baltimore City, our department is committed to excellence in patient care of a diverse patient population with a goal of reducing health disparities.

This one-year, non-ACGME  fellowship is designed to prepare you for a career in academic medicine.  Fellows are encouraged to tailor their experience to enhance their clinical and career objectives. Fellows will gain skills used to teach medical students and residents in the clinical and classroom setting, enhance their clinical expertise, and explore and develop special interests in the practice of Family Medicine. This program aims to provide trainees with varied clinical exposures, mentorship, leadership development, and guided experience as an educator to a variety of learners.

Candidates must be board certified/eligible in family medicine and eligible for an unrestricted license in the State of Maryland.  This position requires a medical degree from a recognized accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent), a strong commitment to patient care and teaching, and the ability to work well in a team setting.
