Open Faculty Positions in the School of Computing - Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence

Clemson University is hiring in the broad areas of Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Big Data Science. The School of Computing invites applications for tenure-track faculty at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor starting in Fall, 2021.

Key target areas for this search include cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (deep learning, computer vision, and nature language processing). Candidates will be invited to join the newly formed Cybersecurity Center and the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute for Science and Engineering, which are both led out of the School of Computing. Highly qualified candidates in all areas that meet our goals of growing collaborative and multi-disciplinary research will also be considered, including all AI-enabled areas of science, engineering, and social science.

Clemson has had continued growth and increase of student enrollment through the global pandemic. The School of Computing has 38 tenured/tenure-track faculty members, twelve full-time non-tenure track faculty, more than 1,000 undergraduate majors, and over 300 graduate students. The School offers a wide range of Baccalaureate, Master’s, and Doctorate degrees in Computer Science, Human-Centered Computing, Digital Production Arts, Biomedical Data Sciences and Informatics, and an interdisciplinary master’s program in Systems Engineering. Clemson holds the designations of NSA National Centers for Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education and Research. The cybersecurity minor is fast-growing and the student-led CU Cyber organization is highly active, regularly winning competitions and focusing on the technical and social aspects of cybersecurity.
