Description of Work:This position supports research in an infectious disease laboratory. This position will include laboratory duties. These duties include, but are not limited to, processing of patient samples (for serum, PBMCs and RNA), conducting experiments such as ELISAs, collection of data, sample inventory management, laboratory operations, and data analysis. In addition, this position will support multiple clinical studies going on in North Carolina. Duties may include traveling to collect samples and interfacing with clinical field study personnel.
Education and Experience:Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Special Physical and Mental Requirements:Physical ability to perform varied tasks such as fine motor skills to do challenging culture techniques. Mobility and strength to store and access research samples, reagents, and supplies.
