Essential Job Duties:Carpenter with 5 plus years experience in commercial building new work or renovation. Have experience with metal framing, acoustical ceilings, drywall hanging and finishing. Will be performing repair and renovation of university buildings. Demolition and construction of small campus projects. Knowledge of some electrical and HVAC a plus. Willing to assist all trades.
Due to Covid-19, work times may vary. Regular hours are 7am – 3:30 but may be needed to start at 6:00am. Must be willing to take a Covid test weekly that is provided by the university.

Minimum Experience/Education:Carpenter experience with commercial stud work and sheet rock installation, acoustical grid and finishing with some electrical and plumbing background.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education:5 plus years experience in the renovation and repair of university buildings. Demolition and construction of all campus buildings.
Plumbing and electrical knowledge is a plus.
Required License or Certification:A valid NC license or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of employment.

Anticipated Hiring Range:$20-$22 hr
