Job Details
The Assistant Director will be responsible for coordinating a daily schedule of reports and processes. This includes analyzing, validating, and summarizing the enrollment data in preparation for generation of statistical and analytical reports, and interpreting research data as appropriate. The candidate will participate in monitoring the consistency, quality, and integrity of the data within the student information system. This person will also provide technical support for current applications and processes, and other duties as assigned.
Candidates must be able to organize and handle all aspects of administration and adhere to the rules and regulations of Hofstra University, the Colonial Athletic Conference, and the NCAA.
This is a full-time on-campus position.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, plus some nights and weekends.
Evening and weekend hours and travel required.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree required. 0-2 years of experience required. Candidate must be proficient in complete Microsoft Office suite of applications. Prior experience in creating, writing, importing and querying databases using MS Access is required. Experience using Microsoft Excel to present data in tables and charts is also required. Experience with Slate is a plus.
The successful candidate must be detail oriented, have strong follow-through skills, possess excellent analytical and communication skills and be able to prioritize daily assignments, while handling ad hoc projects to meet tight deadlines and interact with different levels of management. Successful candidate must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed.
