Job Description for

Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics

Pediatric Psychologist

Clinical Psychology Division

Mailman Center for Child Development


Provision and supervision of clinical psychological services to children and adolescents through the Division of Clinical Psychology's Pediatric Medical Coping (PMCope) Clinic, and the Department’s Pediatric Diabetes Program in Endocrinology, the Cystic Fibrosis Program in Pulmonology, and the Miami Transplant Institute.

Participation in clinical research activities, including development and implementation of original research projects for which external funding is sough, as well as collaboration on projects with other faculty, assisting with the design of projects and data collection, and preparation of grant applications and manuscripts.

Participation in the psychology training program, involving supervision of clinical psychology trainees, including postdoctoral associates, interns, and practicum students who are rotating through Diabetes, Cystic Fibrosis, the Transplant Program, or PMCope; by giving lectures to trainees regarding psychological services for various pediatric populations; and by participation in psychology faculty meetings regarding training program development and evaluation of trainees.


APA-approved PhD (or PsyD) in clinical (or counseling) psychology and clinical internship; postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology; licensure in Florida (or license-eligible); board certification (or board eligible) in child clinical or clinical health psychology; relevant clinical experience with children and adolescents.
