Department Chair & Associate Professor/Professor

Job Summary:

The department chair leads the strategic initiatives of the department and, in addition to teaching, is responsible for the operation of the department including budgeting, staffing, scheduling, supervision, and mentoring. The department chair will serve as a member of the School’s Executive Committee and will report to the Senior Associate Dean of the School.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants should have a current appointment as a tenured associate or full professor in the Farmer School of Business’ Department of Management.

Desired Qualifications:

Consideration may be given to candidates who have demonstrated effectiveness in an administrative capacity suggesting ability to lead an academic department, and the ability to interact with a wide range of constituents including faculty, students, administration, alumni, and the business community.
