The Graphic Designer serves as the primary graphic designer for marketing and communications needs for the Eastern Michigan University Athletics Department.

Coordinate with the Marketing and Communications teams to implement EMU Athletics branding elements.

Manage brand appearance for the Eastern Michigan Athletics Department.

Create digital, print and videoboard graphics for assigned sports.

Assists with other graphic design needs and special projects.

Perform other related duties, as assigned.

Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in graphic design is required.

Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign software is required.

Ability to work within deadlines and a creative needs schedule is required.

One year of professional experience in graphic design is required.

Experience working in professional or collegiate sports is preferred.

Experience and working knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premier software is preferred.

Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and proven ability to manage multiple design projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; strong problem-solving and strategic-thinking skills are essential.
