This position supports in-house Release of Medical Record Information for the UKHC enterprise. Duties include: processing all in-bound requests for medical records by fax, mail, portal and in-person. Screening requests for required information based on state and federal law, regulatory guidelines and UKHC policies and procedures. Looking up patient information, retrieving electronic, paper and microfilmed records. Releasing records via fax, paper, portal or electronic media. Invoicing, payment reconciliation and follow-up. Customer service duties. Certifying records. Processing requests for amendments to the medical record. Collaborating with physicians and other internal record departments as well as Legal, Risk and Privacy. Team lead for workflow and coverage, subject matter expert in Release of Information requirements.
IEBC (Internal Employee Being Considered)
Microsoft Office proficiency; Electronic Medical Record (EMR) proficiency; medical terminology; HIPAA; knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding medical records, strong communication skills.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? :
Associate degree, Release of Information experience, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting preferred.Deadline to Apply:
