Provide administrative support to the Director for the Discrimination Prevention Office (DPO) and secondarily to DPO staff, whose primary responsibilities include investigating discrimination complaints and improving campus climate with respect to compliance with anti-discrimination laws and policies.
Exercising superior interpersonal and self-directed organizational skills, operate within a highly matrixed and highly confidential environment with critical deadlines. Serve as liaison to the Director and DPO staff; establish sound professional relationships with faculty, senior management, and other departments, offices and individuals necessary to conduct the business of the Discrimination Prevention Office. Exercise excellent verbal and written communication skills both within and outside the Discrimination Prevention Office, while maintaining confidentiality regarding private and personnel matters.
Analyze issues and case information to determine whether emergency action is required.
Assist and support DPO Case Manager with data input into DPO's case files and electronic tracking system for case management and data collection.
Research data from disparate sources, compile and generate complex documentation for case development.
Write and edit correspondence, memoranda and reports in draft and final form.
Provide comprehensive office management, including scheduling, support in event planning, communications, expense tracking and reimbursement, researching and implementing office protocols, systems, and technological solutions.
