Academic Program Coordinator: Berkeley Interdisciplinary Migration Initiative-IGS
The Berkeley Interdisciplinary Migration Initiative (BIMI) at the University of California, Berkeley is seeking applications for an Academic Program Coordinator. The expected start date of this full-time, 2-year position is April 1, 2021. The position may be renewed for an additional year.
Program Overview:
This Academic Coordinator I position will be located within the Institute for Governmental Studies and will be the nexus for the coordination, oversight and implementation of programs and research relating to the Berkeley Interdisciplinary Migration Initiative (BIMI). BIMI is a campus initiative to advance research, training and public outreach on human mobility, immigrants' integration and the ways migration transforms societies around the world. Job Duties & Key Responsibilities:
The holder of this position will be responsible for the implementation of strategic and operational aspects of BIMI, which include:
- Drafting, editing, and/or supervising the writing of research reports and policy briefings
- Working with faculty and other partners to develop new programs and initiatives and participating in all strategic development aspects of BIMI
- Managing BIMI communications (e-newsletter, social media, email account, website, etc.).
