Position Highlights:The University of Arizona’s College of Applied Science & Technology (CAST) is a National Security Agency (NSA) designated Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operations (CAE-CO) and an Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) designated Intelligence Community Center of Academic Excellence (IC-CAE). CAST is seeking an Assistant Professor of Practice who will teach highly-technical, hands-on undergraduate courses within our Cyber Operations program. The candidate will teach courses in the areas of Penetration Testing, Open Source Intelligence (OSINT), and Social Engineering (SE).

Duties & Responsibilities:- Maintaina workload typical for Career Track faculty at CAST defined as 80% related toteaching and 20% related to service
- Teach undergraduate courses using a variety of formats including online, andinteractive video/TV platforms
- Teaching responsibilities include traditional course delivery, seminars,independent studies, as well as creation and revision of course content
- Contribute to the service responsibilities of CAST and the University ofArizona in part through participation on committees and student mentoring,including those from underrepresented backgrounds
- Contribute to CAST and University of Arizona’s development through appropriateoutreach to local communities (including governmental units, businesses,nonprofits organizations, and community residents)
- Assist in the development of innovative approaches to enhancing studentengagements, increasing diversity, and expanding collaborations with communityand business partners
- Master’s degree in Cyber Operations, Cybersecurity, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field
- Specific and demonstrable experience in the following areas:
- Ph.D./D.Sc. in Cyber Operations, Cybersecurity, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- Demonstrated prior online teaching experience
- Offensive Cyber Operations (OCO) experience
- Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) experience
