General Summary

This position is designed to assist in providing a coordinated, institutional approach to the issue of sexual and relationship violence at DePaul University, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws and University policies. The position will help guide educational efforts pertaining to sexual and relationship violence including program development, policy development, intervention strategies and assessment This position will meet individually with members of the DePaul community to provide support, resources and education around these issues, including the provision of confidential support. The position works as a member of a team of prevention professionals and assists with general health promotion efforts as well as alcohol and other drug prevention and intervention efforts.

Education & Experience

  • Master's Degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, College Student Personnel, Counseling, Public Health or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience required in counseling, education, community health, public health or related field (2 years of relevant graduate experience will equate to 1 year of professional experience).
Preferred Requirements
  • Illinois license in Counseling or Social Work and/or 40 hour sexual assault or domestic violence crisis intervention training preferred.
Managerial Responsibilities
  • Reports to the Director of Health Promotion and Wellness for major programming and financial decisions but has direct input into decisions related to sexual and relationship violence prevention and support.

Other Skills & Abilities Required
Strong computer skills required. Experience working with Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
