Job Summary
Provide strategic direction to the marketing and fan experience unit within the department. Serve as a leader in the athletics department in support of its mission, vision and values. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Senior athletics staff, unit management and staff, campus partners, and vendorsThis position typically will advise and counsel: Athletics staff, unit management and staff, campus partners, and vendorsThis position will supervise: Assigned staff
ResponsibilitiesJob Duty 1 -
Direct the day-to-day operations of the marketing and fan experience unit including performance management of staff and the development and implementation of individual sport marketing plans.
Job Duty 2 -
Partner with several other athletics department and non-athletics department units to effectively market Georgia Tech Athletics and communicate with key stakeholders.
Job Duty 3 -
Collaborate with external vendors to help facilitate incremental corporate sales while also maintaining the integrity of the Georgia Tech Athletic Association (GTAA) brand.
Job Duty 4 -
Oversee game-day sponsor fulfillment including print, game-day promotion, on-court promotions, game-day hospitality, game-day messaging of sponsorships and promotions.
Job Duty 5 -
Collaborate with conference network video operations and other GTAA units to develop adherence to GTAA brand, collateral development and copywriting, strategic planning, etc.
Job Duty 6 -
Collaborate with other GTAA units to effectively manage ticket inventory, set pricing and utilize marketing resources to reach ticket sales and revenue goals in all areas.
Job Duty 7 -
Service as administrator for Spirit Programs and Band.
Job Duty 8 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Five to seven years of job related experience
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's Degree
