Develop, produce and/or assign writing, photography, and video content for the print magazine and digital promotion. Provide information on readership, expenditures, revenue, and other assessments to the Director of Communications.
Implement a clear production calendar with deadlines for colleagues.
Produce “Echoes: The FSU Alumni Podcast,” including pre-production, interview scheduling, recording sponsors and segments, distribution and promotion.
Plan and assign/produce multimedia content packages that advance the mission of the FSUAA and tell the stories of FSU Alumni. Guide the creation, management and assessment of video, audio, web and magazine content throughout the calendar year.
Support efforts of FSUAA departments through print and digital communications.
Evaluate communications tactics, including performance, optimization strategies, and recommendations for improvement.Qualifications Bachelor’s and four years of communications, marketing, publishing or related area experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience related to the duties of this position.
(Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years)
A valid Florida or Georgia driver's license or the ability to obtain one.
Experience in Higher Education communications, public relations practice, or marketing agency producing strategic content.
Experience in publication management bringing a collaborative approach – planning with designers, stories, copy editors, freelance photographers, university photography.
Experience with setting deadlines and communicating effectively.
Experience in curating and creating content to promote and maintain the exceptional integrity of a top-tier magazine or publication.
Ability to create and manage creative timelines.
Ability to coordinate multiple ideas and manage creative functions.
Ability to build a sustainable magazine and podcast to engage alumni of FSU with the goal to actively participate with the universityPay Plan This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.Schedule If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.Some nights and weekends may be required.Criminal Background Check This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
