Lead Payroll Administrator
At Georgia State University, the Payroll, Time and Absence, and Payroll Accounting & Reporting department issues more than 100,000 payments each year to approximately 15,000 faculty, staff, and student employees within the university. The Payroll, Time and Absence, and Payroll Accounting & Reporting department is eeking to hire a Lead, Payroll Administrator. The scope of responsibility will include these essential duties but is not limited to the following,
- Manages the Part-time Professor/Graduate Research Assistant (PPGRA) system. Resolves issues encountered by colleges. Loads system into HRMS and completes payrolls for Graduate Assistants and Part-time Instructors
- Manages the Staff (Biweekly & Monthly) payrolls. Supervises the Payroll Practitioner responsible for the completion of the payrolls.
- Manages the Student Assistant/Temporary payrolls. Supervises the Payroll Practitioner responsible for the completion of the payrolls.
- Perform other HR related responsibilities as requested or needed
Bachelor's degree and two years of payroll accounting and supervisory experience; or six years of payroll accounting experience with two years in a supervisory role; or a combination of education and related experience.
