Description
Reporting to the Vice Dean for Student Success, the Program Coordinator will work with the offices of Academic Advising, Career Services, and Global Opportunities within the Klein College of Media and Communication to develop and implement programming related to student success and retention. Responsibilities include oversight of Student Success programs, including the Klein College Scholarship Program, Convocation and Commencement, and relevant retention initiatives. The Coordinator will establish and implement procedures and processes for the assessment of the Student Success offices for accreditation purposes. The Coordinator will receive and resolve student concerns related to student programming and will represent the offices of Student Success in the absences of the Directors and Vice Dean as requested. The Coordinator will act as the lead user and trainer on Student Success systems (Banner, Cognos, Blackbaud, etc.), including collecting data, producing reports, tracking trends, and measuring outcomes. The Coordinator oversees the administration of scholarships for the Klein College of Media and Communication. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and three years of directly related experience working with diverse populations. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

*Strong customer service skills, along with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and employers. 
*Flexibility and a positive attitude.
*Problem solving and ability to mediate issues with various stakeholders.
*Data analysis and ability to communicate results and trends to various stakeholders.
*Ability to work under limited supervision and in an ever-changing work environment. 
*Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to maintain professionalism with internal and external constituents.
*Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage projects, pay careful attention to detail, maintain confidentiality, and balance multiple tasks with shifting priorities. 
*Demonstrated technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, along with the ability to learn new systems and programs. 
*Ability to work nights and weekends as requested.

Preferred:
*Master’s degree and a demonstrated broad understanding of higher education. 
*Educational background or experience in the media and communication disciplines offered through Klein College. 
*Knowledge of Banner and Cognos.
