Job Details
With the oversight of one or more staff members, provide career ¬related assistance (resume reviews, major exploration, mock interviews, general job search and career planning tips) to prospective, undergraduate and graduate students as well as alumni. Provide assistance to career staff with job fair and event preparation, Fast Track, and other student career events, as well as assist with marketing and implementation of events.
Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesIn consultation with one or more staff or faculty members, assist in the support of the affairs of a program, department, office and/or curriculum.
Other departmental related duties as required.
- Major in Higher Education and Student Affairs, Educational Leadership or College Counseling
- Able to recruit, train and supervise other graduate students for career walk-¬in advising is required
- Detail oriented and self -motivated
- Organized and able to effectively manage time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of Career Development Theory is desirable
- Familiarity with social networking is desirable, specifically Facebook Live, Instagram Live, etc.
- Knowledge of campus community resources and referral options is desirable.
- Familiarity with marketing techniques and/or graphic design experience is desirable.
