Research Specialist B

A full-time position for a Research Specialist B is available in the Laboratory for Cognition and Neural Stimulation (LCNS) in the Department of Neurology, under the direction of Dr. Roy Hamilton. Current research topics include investigations of language and communication disorders, visuospatial processing, and mechanism of neuroplasticity in healthy adults and patients with neurology diseases. The principal methodologies of the laboratory are transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS). These tools are used to explore structure-function relationships in the brain that pertain to cognition, investigate behaviorally relevant neuroplasticity in the adult intact or damaged brain and develop stimulation-based neurorehabilitation therapies. Prior experience with noninvasive brain stimulation, neuroimaging and interaction with patient populations is highly valued but not required.


Bachelor's Degree and 1-3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Prior experience with noninvasive brain stimulation, neuroimaging and interaction with patient populations is highly valued but not required.
