Nurse Practitioner II - Part TimePediatrics - Adolescent Medicine, Tulane Medical Center

Location: New Orleans, LA

Summary

Performs Reproductive Care services for adolescent and young adult patients, including but not limited to health assessment, planning, teaching, and counseling. Supervises medical and nursing staff assigned to the clinic.

 

The Position of Nurse Practitioner requires excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills. The Nurse Practitioner shall have expressed interest in adolescent reproductive health care, demonstrated interest in multi-disciplinary team-work, and demonstrate strong organizational skills.

 

This is a part-time postion.

 

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an ANA-approved Nurse Practitioner program with national certification Louisiana licensure to practice professional nursing plus recognition or licensure by the State Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by the date of hire Master's degree in Nursing
• 3 Years of full-time professional clinical nurse experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Reproductive Health Care
• Experience with insertion/removal of Long Acting Reversible Contraceptive (LARC) methods
