Provide a broad range of general/routine administrative and office support environment duties in a timely, accurate manner to faculty, staff, and students in a multi-cultural research environment.

Job Functions

  • Provide general office support to faculty, staff, and students in the RMERC Bldg.
  • Manage updates to the Center’s website, update picture board and supervise student worker.
  • Monitor and coordinate center activities, projects, and reports, delegate responsibility and ensure that all schedules are met.
  • Provide financial reports for the center and for the investigators both on a regular basis and on demand. Assist Director in budget planning and management.
  • Process center and researcher’s financial transactions as required.
  • Processing of credit card receipts.
  • Review, correct and approve employee timesheets.
  • Prepare PAF for hiring undergraduate, work and graduate students for faculty and the center.
  • Prepare and process travel arrangements and travel reimbursements for faculty and staff.
  • Assist in preparing proposals and budgets for EMRGE (not faculty) proposals.
  • Prepare and submit requisitions and vouchers, and prepare invoices and deposits as needed.
  • Preparation of inventories and reports.
  • Maintain and post EMRGE schedules of classroom and conference room use.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree.
  • Familiarity with the PeopleSoft database program and other software the campus uses.
  • Experience/education in web design and maintenance and brochure/marketing materials
  • Experience working with a diverse, multicultural population.
  • Minimum of three years related office experience is necessary.
  • Minimum of one year experience with basic accounting, finance, and budgeting functions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with faculty, students, and outside entities.
