  • Position Description:

    The Student Insurance Program Administrator is responsible for the studentexperience and daily customer service, administrative/operations functions andprogram/vendor oversight of the student insurance program.  Primary duties include:  program and contract administration, vendormanagement, customer service, vendor liaison, student education, programmarketing and promotion, student enrollment, program and plan documents,website administration, data collection, data/trend analysis, reporting, andstudent supervision.  This position willalso complete employee benefits program functions/duties, as time allows and isassigned.


    • Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, management, business administration, or related field.Certified Employee Benefits Specialist Certification (CEBS) preferred.
    • Minimum of three years professional experience in health care benefits/insurance programs, contract interpretation, claims resolution, benefits analysis or relevant financial analysis required.
    • Minimum of 1 year experience managing/supervising staff, preferably in a professional environment, strongly preferred.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to learn and utilize university and applicable program vendor/administrators’ information/reporting systems, websites, and portals.
    • Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports.
    • Strong presentation and written/verbal communication and skills.
