Position Description

The University of Toledo Collegeof Medicine and Life Sciences (COMLS) invites applications for a facultyposition in the Physician Assistant Studies program. Review of applicationswill begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. These positions provide anopportunity for highly motivated individuals who are committed to studentsuccess, academic excellence and advancement of the Physician Assistant (PA)profession to join the PA Studies Program at The University of Toledo as anintegral component of the foundational team. Working with the Program facultyand staff, this individual will assist in the implementation of the PA StudiesProgram, with a focus on teaching and supporting a transformative studentexperience within a unique modular curriculum during the didactic and clinicalphases of the program.

-Position is a full-time, 12-month tenure track faculty appointment reporting directly to the Program Director of Physician Assistant Studies.
-PA Faculty are responsible for the delivery of the educational content of the PA program.
-Positions are announced at the assistant professor level; outstanding candidates may be considered for a higher rank commensurate with experience and scholarly activity.


-Terminal degree within field, minimum of Master's Degree.
-Current NCCPA certification and eligibility for licensure in the State of Ohio as a PA-C.
-Minimum of 3 years clinical and/or teaching experience preferred.
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Able to function independently while operating effectively within a team environment.
-Excellent oral and written skills and ability to communicate comfortably with students, colleagues, and external constituents.
