Job Description Summary
The purpose of this position is to provide clinical research support for the human clinical research trials performed in the Department of Radiation Oncology. The person who fills this position will be responsible for subject enrollment, scheduling and follow up as well as management of the regulatory aspects of research studies for both photon therapy and proton therapy.
This position is contingent upon funding.

Job Description

This position will support the management of 3-4 clinical research studies in the RadOnc CRU. Under the guidance of the Principal Investigator (PI), the Clinical Research Coordinator A (CRC-A) will carry out research activities including recruitment, consenting participants, management of study materials, including IRB submissions, biosample collection and processing, and data collection. The Clinical Research Coordinator will: Prepare and process all regulatory study documents related to initial submissions, continuing reviews, modifications and all other applicable review bodies; Coordinate, organize, and maintain all study documentation required by the study sponsor (source documents, case report forms, subject files, etc.); Schedule study visits with subjects and coordinate study procedures (scans, research blood draws, etc.); Screen, consent and enroll subjects and complete all necessary documentation associated with each task; Adhere to all UPENN, Cancer Center, and FDA guidelines; Obtain, process, and ship biosamples; Participate in the auditing and monitoring process, as required

Bachelor's Degree with 1-3 years of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or equivalent combination of education and experience is required

Active Listening and Learning are required

Typically sitting at a desk or table; Occasional lifting 25 lb. or less
