Job Description

Position Summary

This is a part-time temporary position based on the needs of the project. The video editor will edit footage taken during rehearsal and performance for presenting performances in a remote environment. In addition to taking high-quality footage, the video editor will also maintain all use their own software equipment to provide sound and finished video footage. The video editor will then work with the production director and production manager to determine the best package and presentation of the videos.

  • Select and assemble proper equipment and choose editing styles and sound based on client's wishes and theme of the production.
  • Provide raw and finished video footage to the CSN Theatre Program.
  • Determine desired finished product presentation with the director and production manager.
  • Edit footage according to production concept and artistic team's wishes.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to use different types of software to edit and present video to audiences.
  • Understanding artistic and aesthetic needs of a theatrical and film production.
  • Good communication and people skills, with the ability to discuss complex artistic concepts in easy-to-understand terms.
  • A keen eye for detail and a well-developed artistic and creative aesthetic.

Rate of Pay

$1000.00 Flat Rate Pay pending assigned project.
