TemporaryEssential Job Duties:
The Student Engagement Program Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the delivery of multiple student centered events and support initiatives, including but not limited to: two graduation weekends and managing logistical details for six new-student orientation weekends each calendar year. These events range from smaller groups (~30-50) to large scale (1,000+ attendees). Events must be of high quality, be highly organized, and all details must be considered and proactively handled and addressed to ensure that the experience is of the highest quality for students, while remaining within budget. This person will also handle logistics for in-person classes in order to ensure a seamless experience for faculty and students. The position will have significant interaction with students (virtually and in-person) and will organize activities/socials. The position will also triage student questions and issues-handling whenever possible, and referring to other staff when needed.Is Time Limited:

The Student Engagement team is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, professional to manage all logistics related to graduation, orientation events, and in-person classes. We are a fast paced, student focused team who works diligently to ensure that working professional students receive a top-notch experience. We require a skilled professional with experience coordinating and executing high quality events.
Skills required, but not limited to the following:
*ability to manage multiple time-sensitive competing priorities
*exceptional attention to detail and ability to anticipate issues and needs
*strong familiarity with project management methodologies and documentation
*demonstrated ability to organize information from multiple sources
*proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
*proven ability to creatively solve problems
*exceptional written communication skills for program wide communication and website updates
*collaborative approach to work across departments to achieve goals
*experience working in the higher education with graduate business students preferred, but not requiredPreferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education:
Events – large events experience (500 people +), preferably planning and executing graduations (or similar large-scale events)
Vendor Management – Identifying, selecting, and procuring services from vendors
University Experience – preferably UNC experience working with vendors, finance, students, faculty, and communications
Hospitality Experience – Or similar experience, someone who understands customer service and the requirements for running events
Communication – professional communication via phone, email, and in-person to internal and external stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and vendors.
Event/Project Planning – creating timelines, project resource needs, personnel needs, maintaining schedules,
Event Coordination – Prepping for an event, and execution on the day of
Digital Experience – comfortable navigating email, MS office, and Zoom
