Pay Rate:

$30-$35/hour

Minimum Experience/Education:

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.

Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education::

B.S. Degree in Nursing which includes a Public Health Nursing rotation.

Minimum of 4 years nursing experience required, public health and/or pediatric experience preferred.

Certified by the American Nurses’ Association (ANA) or the
National Association of School Nurses (NASN).

Duties and Responsibilities:

The school nurse will assume the role of provider regarding student health care, planning and coordinating of the school health program at Niner University Elementary. The school nurse identifies and treats health disorders among students and provides instruction in the maintenance of good health and disease prevention. The school
nurse must evaluate the physical conditions of students and refer students to appropriate
resources as needed. Decisions made by the school nurse require discretionary judgment and analysis.

Necessary Licenses or Certifications:

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
