We are seeking a full time Manager of Research Projects B who will be providing high-level support across the following three federally-funded research projects: (1) NCI-funded P50 Penn Implementation Science Center in Cancer Control (Penn ISC3), with the goal to apply insights from behavioral economics to rapidly accelerate the pace at which evidence-based practices for cancer care are deployed, thereby increasing their reach and impact on the health of individuals with cancer; (2) NINR-funded R01, with the goal to conduct a hybrid type II effectiveness-implementation trial testing an adaptation of the Managed Problem Solving behavioral intervention for antiretroviral therapy adherence and HIV care retention delivered by community health workers; (3) CFAR-funded supplement, with the goal to conduct qualitative interviews and brief surveys to glean insights on implementing the Managed Problem Solving intervention to then conduct implementation mapping to increase the use of the behavioral intervention.Job Description
This Manager of Research Projects B position will provide senior level management across the above mentioned projects. This includes but is not limited to: providing guidance and supervision to research teams on how best to prepare and implement research activities, operationalize and adapt research methods, collect and manage data, and appropriately report progress and achieved benchmarks. The position will also serve in an administrative leadership role alongside the principal investigator and Associate Director D in the preparation of federally-funded grant applications, which includes providing expertise in how to conduct implementation research in a variety of healthcare settings and also how to appropriately staff and budget for proposed research activities. The position will supervise full time and part time staff who coordinate the above research projects, which includes overseeing the recruitment, hiring, training, supervision and evaluation of all staff on an ongoing basis. The position will also oversee the management of regulatory aspects of above mentioned research projects to ensure all requirements are being met and collaborate with the investigative and business administrative team to ensure adherence to departmental, University, industry and federal policies and/or procedures to maintain compliance.
The Manager of Research Projects B must have impeccable organization, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. They must be able to work independently and exhibit good judgement. Experience working with research faculty from various disciplines is preferable. All applicants must be able to demonstrate familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, database, and web-based applications.
This position is contingent upon funding.
Qualifications
Master's Degree with 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
