TC Clean Sweep Enclave (Temporary Employee Pool)
Primary Purpose:
Primary purpose under the direct supervision of the Employment Recovery Coach, provide on and off-site litter duties for the Martin Gipson Socialization Center and Community Re-Entry Program.
Essential Functions:
1. Perform litter duties for assigned areas: this includes, but is not limited to:
• Systematically picking up litter and trash that is outside of building, in the lawn, or parking lot; as well as in designated neighborhoods of San Joaquin County.
• Following directions of enclave lead.
•Able to follow oral and written instruction. •Physically walking the neighborhood on a weekly scheduled route, picking up litter from sidewalks and gutters.
• Disposing litter and emptying garbage bags in appropriate bulk trash containers.
• Observing all safety rules - wearing designated safety uniforms and footwear, collecting and disposing of non-hazard material, and correctly using safety equipment during shift.
2. Cleaning, maintaining, and appropriately storing Clean Sweep equipment after each shift.
3. Performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Applicant must currently be receiving services from San Joaquin County Behavioral Health Services.
• Ability to pass background/sanction checks for the funding agency(ies).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Volunteer or paid experience in a helping profession desired.
• Positive attitude, proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion.
Physical Requirements:

The position requires performing physical activities, including standing, bending, kneeling, stretching, and reaching while interacting with adults and significant others within the field and within the office. Lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to remain standing during shift for long periods of time. Must be able to work in varying weather conditions.
Work Environment/Work Week/Travel:
Position is scheduled for 8 hours per week, during Gipson Center’s normal business hours of 8am-5pm, M-F.
Hiring Range: Commensurate with experience, non-exempt
