Trinity Christian College seeks a part-time Office Assistant for the Physical Plant.  The Office Assistant will be responsible for assisting with office operations of the Physical Plant department.  Work hours are 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Monday - Friday.

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Answer phones. Greet students, faculty, staff, contractors and visitors to the office.
  • Assist with processing work orders, invoices, van requests, and work with the campus key system when required.
  • Assist with department credit card receipts, and process receipts through the online banking website.
  • Assist in working with the Events department on summer housing in dorms, including arrivals, departures, dorm and suites being used, and give details to the contracted cleaning company for room preparation and cleaning.
  • Assist Director of Physical Plant with project work.
  • Must be able to work extra hours/days during Office Manager's absence or during busy times.
  • Other duties, as assigned

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.  Related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Other qualifications:

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and other information
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of business people, staff, students, and the general public
  • Ability to apply concepts such as percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to add, subtract and balance costs.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent computer and organizational and interpersonal skills.
