Responsibilities:

The Institutional Research and Effectiveness Specialist provides technical and administrative support to the Coordinator of Institutional Research and Effectiveness. Duties and responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
1. Assists in facilitating the entire institutional effectiveness process.

2. Assists in developing and organizing databases, reports, dashboards, and graphs.

3. Prepares, distributes, and organizes surveys, correspondence, reports, forms, and other documents.

4. Assists in compiling and analyzing statistical data and qualitative information.

5. Assists in reviewing, tracking, and organizing program assessments, program reviews, outcome assessment plans, and annual reports.

6. Entering requisitions, tracking purchase orders, running budget reports, completing budget adjustments, and ordering supplies and/or equipment as needed.

7. Processes travel requisitions, and assists with vouchers.

8. Maintains the OIRE website.

9. Performs data entry and maintenance of files and records.

10. Assist in updating the LSCO Fact Book and organizational charts on an annual basis or as needed.

11. Performs general office duties including scheduling appointments, planning meetings, taking meeting minutes, checking the office mail daily, and making on-campus deliveries as requested.

12. Serves as receptionist for the office.

Performs all other duties as required and/or assigned.

Qualifications:

H.S. diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
Requires one to two years of experience on jobs leading to this, or similar work. Experience in a higher educational setting is preferred.

Proficient in Excel with knowledge in the use of the Microsoft Office, office administrative procedures, desktop computers, copiers, scanner, and fax machine equipment. Familiarity with Banner, Argos, and survey procedures/software is a plus.

Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to analyze data, organize digital filing, and pay extreme attention to detail.

Must follow all college policies and procedures, and work with all levels of faculty, staff, and administration. Must be dependable, and possess a high degree of self-initiative.

This position is security-sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of the Texas Education Code §51.215.
