Position Highlights:

A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the lab of Dr. Jeffrey Pu at the University of Arizona Cancer Center. The selected candidate will have interests in translational cancer research, especially in the fields of genomic stability, target therapy, and novel drug development.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conductdaily experiments with human PBMCs, human cell lines, and additional humansamples. Duties include processing samples, propagating cellular cultures invitro, and extraction of biologic material for downstream analysis.
  • Evaluation of biologic readouts.
  • Assist in IRB submissions and grant applications. Develop independent researchprojects. Participate in manuscript preparation.
  • Participate in lab management, including ordering and maintenance of equipment.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • PhD with at least 5years experience in laboratory research.
  • Expertise in cell culture.
  • Experience with Flow cytometry, RNA transcriptional profiling, ELISA, Western blotting, and collection and analysis of data.

Preferred Qualifications:

*The successful candidate shall be able to plan and execute experiments, analyze data, and trouble-shoot technical problems, and write scientific reports/grant proposals. This fellow shall be willing to work with both human samples and mice tissues.*Sufficient knowledge sufficient knowledge in molecular cell biology, immunology, biochemistry, and experience in mice. *Experience in medical technology.*Experience with CRISPR-Cas9, molecular cloning, and other molecular biology techniques.*Experience with big data analysis and use of bioinformatic tools.
