Regular Full-time, Pay Range MR05

Process and verify discount and waiver requests.   Process and analyze Department of Veteran Affairs Wire payments for Montgomery GI Bill. Adhere to VA regulations concerning returning money to the VA when overages occur.  Process Departmental refunds. Assist in collection and posting of student fees, disbursing excess financial aid according to institutional, state, and federal regulations; To provide customer services analyzing student accounts for accuracy, explaining fee payment policies and procedures to students, parents, One-Stop staff, and the general public by Footprints tickets, phone, email or in-person and to serve as primary support to reconciling and recording daily Bursar's Office deposits.



Qualifications
 

Minimum/Required Qualifications (include education, experience, skills & abilities, licenses & certifications):

  

High school diploma required. Must have verifiable cash handling experience and thorough knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment. Must possess the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Must have strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to resolve customer conflicts.

 

  

  

  

                       High school diploma required; Two years college or equivalent work experience. Cashier experience with Banner and Touchnet Preferred as is a working knowledge of IRIS.  It is desirable to have a working knowledge of the Bursar's Office including but not limited to;  fee waivers, discounts, FERPA,  Refunds, deadlines, deferments etc.
