Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Billing/Data Analyst, Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage and coordinate telecom work order approval process.
  • Project and recommend initial telephone encumbrances at the beginning of each fiscal year; assist with mid-year encumbrance review and analysis to identify areas that will likely expend more than initial estimates.
  • Analyze extensive call data and vendor invoices for monthly telecommunications billing; prepare spreadsheets and reports related to monthly billing.
  • Analyze and evaluate telephone exchange data, call rating and default rate codes to assure correct pricing of domestic, toll free, long distance and international calls.
  • Serve as customer services specialist; answer inquiries regarding phone bill charges for wired and wireless devices; explain charges and instruct users on how to interpret bills.
  • Reconcile wireless & equipment charges, credits and disconnects.
  • Provide data to respond to requests from State and Internal auditors; maintain historical call record data. Run monthly telecom phone billing for wired and wireless devices utilizing internal billing systems.
  • Ensure that phone charges, department representatives, and telephone charges are accurate, apply necessary changes within internal billing system.
  • Process manual phone charges and/or credits as needed.
  • Review and analyze telecom invoices for charge accuracy. Contact vendor/supplier to resolve issues and discrepancies with all telecom charges.
  • Update department webpage and documentation as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and two years of appropriate experience; or Associate's degree from an accredited institution and five years of appropriate experience required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to success in this position.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.

Must also have excellent customer service, organizational and time management skills.

Salary:

$50,000 - $55,000
